Ralph Rudnick First Loss Signals the Beginning of His Departure

Ralf Rangnick must understand just how big a job he has taken on at Manchester United. We must start asking him the hard questions now. I think his grace period is over.

Manchester United, in plain truth, should consider themselves fortunate to have only lost by one goal, with Wolves controlling the game and generating plenty of chances to add to their score.

Although it was United's first defeat under Rangnick, it was not the first time they had performed poorly under him, with prior performances against Newcastle United and Norwich City drawing much criticism.

Following Rangnick's appointment as the United interim manager at the end of November 2021, he stressed the significance of United regaining control and tightening up offensively and defensively. After recording two clean sheets in his first two league appearances, Rangnick's team has conceded three goals in their last three league games, while scoring only four.

With the entertainment aspect of United's performances showing no indications of improvement, some fans have gone to social media to express their displeasure on how Rangnick handled the game against Wolves.

“Ralph Rangnick really is a miracle worker-he’s made Manchester United even worse. They should have gone for Conte when they had the chance. Madness for a club this big to have such a small-time manager,” Pier Morgan.

He was even booed on the pitch as he substituted Mason Greenwood for Bruno Fernandes in the second half, highlighting the early signs of mounting discontent of his tactics and decisions among Manchester United fans.
